Steel Empire is a steampunk shoot’em up game featuring a frantic combat filled with powerful enemies and insane obstacles. Enjoy a beautiful world and retro game-play as you dodge and shoot your way through classical stages to fight the evil empire!

Pros:

  • 16 Bit graphics.
  • 344MB Download size.
  • Controller support.
  • Steam achievements.
  • Four difficulties- Easy, Normal, Hard and difficult.
  • Full stats section.
  • Simple controls.
  • Solid action.
  • SHMUP gameplay.
  • Fantastic animations.
  • A wide variety of enemies and bosses.

Cons:

  • If your resolution doesn’t display at recommended ratio then the game ratio completely messes up.
  • Annoying startup sound.
  • Music is not that great.
  • Gameplay is very flat.
  • Little replayability.

Gaming since the Atari 2600, I enjoy the weirdness in games counting Densha De Go and RC De Go as my favourite titles of all time. I prefer gaming of old where buying games from a shop was a thing, Being social in person was a thing. Join me as I attempt to adapt to this new digital age!
