VISCO Collection, a carefully curated assembly of seven arcade masterpieces along with These classics has undergone a facelift, preserving the magic of their original charm while introducing an array of exclusive, never-before-seen content.

VISCO Collection Review Pros:

  • Beautiful graphics.
  • 653.9MB download size.
  • Platinum trophy.
  • Seven games in one – AndroDunos, Flipshot, BangBead, Captain Tomaday, Ganryu, NEO Driftout new technology, and Goal Goal Goal.
  • NEO Driftout’s new technology is an isometric Rally game where you race against the clock and get direction pop-ups as you play.
  • Every game can be saved and loaded whenever you want.
  • Each game has its own user manual.
  • Games are split into genres 1P, Co-op, and vs.
  • Online and offline mode which is optional.
  • You can create your own favorites list or filter games by genre.
  • Arcade presentation with the cabinets and art.
  • You can see each game playing on the cabinet when in the main menu.
  • Easy to drop out of a game and pick a different one.
  • Flipshot plays like a more in-depth pong/Tennis game where you need to get the ball past the other player and hit the scoring tokens.
  • Flipshot has five characters to play as.
  • Flipshot is very easy to learn and play with just a one-page manual on how to play.
  • Every game has border art.
  • AndroDunos has horizontal scrolling Shmup gameplay.
  • AndroDunos has both single-shot and auto-fire controls.
  • Great sprite work in every game.
  • BangBead is the sequel to Flip Shot so it’s the same gameplay.
  • BangBead has 7 initial characters and then you can unlock a further two.
  • Captain Tomaday is a Shmup game.
  • The Captain Tomaday is very cartoony and colourful from the cutscenes to the animated backdrops.
  • Captain Tomaday is you play as a character and your left and right hands move independently and are used as weapons.
  • Ganryu is a side-scroller beat ’em up game.
  • Ganryu has two playable characters each with unique stats.
  • There is a lot of verticality to the Ganryu levels.
  • Brief history of the games in the manual.
  • Infinite continues in every game.
  • Goal Goal Goal is an arcade football game.
  • World teams in Goal Goal Goal have unique stats.
  • Simple controls in each game with full eight-directional movement.
  • Local leaderboards on games allow you the traditional three initial name inputs.
  • It’s a great collection of multiple game genres.
  • Every game plays very well and the controls are tight and responsive.

VISCO Collection Review Cons:

  • Ganryu has the annoying trope of when an enemy gets close, no matter what you cannot have time to turn around and kill them.
  • Each game has a tutorial but it’s just an auto-played scene.
  • AndroDunos has many cheap deaths and you can die by hitting the walls and floor.
  • Cannot rebind controls.
  • No games have their own menus and settings like difficulties etc.
  • You can only reset the game and not the level/race you are currently on.
  • NEO Driftout is really sensitive and you cannot change the camera zoom.

Gaming since the Atari 2600, I enjoy the weirdness in games counting Densha De Go and RC De Go as my favourite titles of all time. I prefer gaming of old where buying games from a shop was a thing, Being social in person was a thing. Join me as I attempt to adapt to this new digital age!
