For this Arsonists Heaven Review, we get ready to blaze through our enemies with as much firepower as I can carry! It’s hunt or be hunted in a game of side-scrolling survival. Arsonist Heaven is an action platformer presented in retro pixel art style. Take the role of a hunter in a flame-retardant hazard suit and equipped with a jet pack as you traverse a wide variety of biomes, from forests and icy mountains to deserts and volcanic caverns.

Arsonists Heaven Review Pros:

Nice graphics.
416.8MB download size.
1000 Gamerscore.
Platformer gameplay.
Jump and shoot around levels, your jetpack needs fuel.
Flamethrower weapon.
The goal is to kill all enemies on a level.
Kill counter on the Hud.
Tutorial signs as you play.
You can replay levels.
The flamethrower lines up with the floor so if you are on a slant it will fire along that slant.

Arsonists Heaven Review Cons:

Sometimes it won’t play any sound. Few reboots and it fixes itself.
Bare minimum settings.
Cannot rebind controls.
No auto-reload for the flamethrower.
Cannot view the controls.
Death has you restarting the level.
No clear way to know how much health an enemy has.
Menus are driven by the d-pad only.

Summary

Arsonists Heaven is a platformer game where you go around with a flamethrower and kill all enemies. Armed with a jetpack you can do insanely high jumps to navigate the area, and collect fuel for the jetpack and also for your flamethrower. Your flamethrower looks cool and goes along the line of the platform so if it’s straight the flame is straight if it’s angled then the flame is angled. It all sounds simple enough and to be honest it’s so simple that it’s kind of boring. Levels all feel the same, there is little in the way of variety, and the fact you never know how much health an enemy has really annoyed and makes simple tasks an absolute bitch. You would play this game to just grab a few easy achievements or if you want a basic introduction to platformers. Arsonists Heaven sets itself on fire more than the gaming landscape, few highlights but never really gets going.
