  • A lot of shortcuts and secrets to find.
  • Solid little game.
  • The main hub acts as a crossroad in terms of picking areas, you can go here to get your new abilities and speak with your unhatched eggs to get clues on secrets.
  • each area houses its own set of mechanics and features.
  • I like how you can freely go between the areas and the road forward is not always straight.

Cavern of Dreams Review Cons:

  • Cannot rebind controls.
  • The text for some of the inputs sounds more like arrows on a compass.
  • The camera can go a lot all over the place, especially in tight areas and platforms.
  • Not always clear where to go or what to do.
  • The controls take some getting used to.
  • No real graphics settings.
  • Save and Quit has you starting back at the hub every time.
  • The game doesn’t always save my settings.
  • You can be stuck and not realize that it’s a part you cannot do until you have an ability.
  • A lot of cheap deaths.
  • Time-based parts suck.
  • No way to fast return to the hub for upgrades.

Gaming since the Atari 2600, I enjoy the weirdness in games counting Densha De Go and RC De Go as my favourite titles of all time. I prefer gaming of old where buying games from a shop was a thing, Being social in person was a thing. Join me as I attempt to adapt to this new digital age!
