Crisis Wing is a Shmup that is basic compared to a lot of games out there in the genre but that doesn’t mean it’s to be missed. Crisis Wing houses an excellent soundtrack and simplified route of play, you could say that it strips out all the fancy bollocks and just gets down to a solid Shmup affair. It plays well all though I found the analog stick for movement to be overly sensitive. What I appreciated was the fact I could play any mode right away with no need to unlock or clear levels first. As I said the gameplay is not a massive step up in the genre but it’s a solid one of those and one that should be played, yeah OK it has super easy achievements but it is also a lot of fun to play. As a score chaser, it’s only good for personal battles as the game uses no online features at all which is a shame but even so Crisis Wing is worth checking out.

Gaming since the Atari 2600, I enjoy the weirdness in games counting Densha De Go and RC De Go as my favourite titles of all time. I prefer gaming of old where buying games from a shop was a thing, Being social in person was a thing. Join me as I attempt to adapt to this new digital age!
