Summary

Crypt Of The Serpent King Remastered is an upscale dungeon crawler, you play as an Adventurer in first person view, you earn exp from killing enemies and gold from loot chests and you must find keys to open the exit door. Along the way, you will fight many different beasts and each will require you to learn the pattern in order to avoid and kill them. Weapons are unlocked by buying them with gold on the menu after finishing a level. EXP works much the same way, you earn it in level and then cash it in at the end. With only a handful of weapons, small gold rewards, and three stats to upgrade, Crypt Of The Serpent King Remastered is an entry-level dungeon crawler, one for either fan of the original or as a way to introduce the genre to a new player. It lacks any real grab power and doesn’t offer a lot and what it does offer is very thin on the ground. It plays well enough but it is definitely one for the newer more curious of the genre player. Other players will do it just for easy achievements and low price point.

Gaming since the Atari 2600, I enjoy the weirdness in games counting Densha De Go and RC De Go as my favourite titles of all time. I prefer gaming of old where buying games from a shop was a thing, Being social in person was a thing. Join me as I attempt to adapt to this new digital age!
