Dauntless Introduces New Weapon, the War Pike
Phoenix Labs has unveiled the first ranged weapon for their Behemoth slaying co-op action RPG, Dauntless: the War Pike. The War Pike is a versatile polearm that will soon bring its unique attacks and an explosive ranged blast to the Dauntless Closed Beta during the Sharpen Your Skills update in December, which will be the largest content update for the game yet.

Players using the War Pike to its maximum effectiveness must walk the line between aggression and caution, as the new weapon gathers power with every strike that a player lands. The more full the player’s meter, the more damage they do, but the meter slowly drains when attacks don’t land and will totally empty if a player takes damage. The power gathered in the War Pike can also be used to fire a powerful cannon built into the weapon to unleash devastating damage at range.
