Daybreak Games Releases Developer Update for H1Z1 on PlayStation 4

Arcade Mode, New Weapons, Leaderboards and More Coming to Popular Free-to-Play Battle Royale Shooter.

Today Daybreak Games has revealed upcoming content and feature plans for H1Z1: Battle Royale on the PlayStation 4, which includes:

● Arcade Mode — Starting this weekend, Shotties and Snipers is coming to the PS4 Arcade Mode. This ruleset plays out like a typical Solos game, except the only weapons available throughout the match are Shotguns and Snipers.

● Weapons – Additional weapons will be coming to the game, expanding the arsenal with new short, medium, and long-range guns.

● Daily Challenges – H1Z1 is expanding the existing line-up of the Daily Challenge system with brand-new challenges.

● Leaderboards – The first rollout of leaderboards will launch with Season 2 of the Battle Pass.

ICYMI! To celebrate launch and the 12+ million players who have joined H1Z1 on PlayStation 4 so far, Daybreak Games is gifting the first ever Marauder skin—the Wildstyle Marauder. To unlock this skin, players need to log in and play a match before August 26th at 11:59 PM PT.

Since releasing in Open Beta, H1Z1: Battle Royale on PlayStation®4 has seen regular updates and community-requested gameplay improvements, including the addition of Revive, Airstrike Signal, EMP Grenade, Arcade Mode events, new lighting schemes, and additional tuning and balance optimisations to weapons, movement, gas ring timing, and other gameplay mechanics.

Built from the ground up for the console shooter fan, H1Z1 on PS4 also features streamlined UI, inventory management, and an overhauled control scheme that emphasises H1Z1’s trademark fast-paced, action-packed battle royale gameplay.
