For our Destructivator SE Review, we go back to The year 2145. Earth still burns. Zallagor and his army have been vanquished, but at great cost: the once great cities of Earth lie in ruin, its population hungry for revenge. Zallagor’s home planet of Zerkl has been located. Zallagor has gone, but somebody will rise to replace him. Maybe they already have. The Destructivator is ready – it is time to strike! Take on the role of a tiny super-solider decked out in lime green spandex! Blast and melee your way through hordes of alien soldiers, robots, spaceships, traps, bosses – and more! Fight on foot or commandeer an enemy ship to take out Zerkl’s defenses and ensure that the alien menace won’t threaten Earth ever again.

- 3 difficulties – normal, hard, and brutal.
- Six missions housing eight levels and a boss fight.
- Can replay levels.
- Restart stage menu option.
- Fast-paced action.
- Game speed slider.
- The goal of the game is to kill all enemies.
- Eight-way shooting.
- You can duck and climb ladders and still shoot.
- Earn 1 – 5 stars on each level based on performance.
- Checkpoints in the level, you can only have one active at a time.
- Levels do contain mini-boss style encounters whereby you can see their health bar.
- When you shoot you stay still.
- Jumping and then shooting have you falling slower.
- Mixes in different genres as getting in a ship will make the game a good Shmup style game.
- Can fly vehicles around and board/inboard at set places.
- Retro yet modern feeling.
- Excellent soundtrack.
Destructivator SE Review Cons:
- No camera controls.
- Takes a little bit of learning.
- Shooting near ladders is a bit hit and miss as sometimes you climb the ladder sometimes you don’t.
- Very easy to die.
