Dysterra Preview (Steam Early Access)

For this Dysterra Preview, A Sci-Fi based FPS survival game where the players cooperate with/compete against each other on a destroyed Earth. In the perishing Earth, players must find a way to prevent extinction while still ensuring individual survival and choose whether to cooperate or compete with other players for their survival.

  • Steam achievements.
  • Graphics settings – rendering scale slider, anti-aliasing, post-processing, shadow, texture, VFX, motion blur, bloom, v-sync, indirect light, screen mode, resolution, AMD FSR quality, and Nvidia DLSS.
  • Auto optimization graphics option.
  • Controller support.
  • Can rebind controls for both keyboard and controller buttons.
  • Profile screen detailing your stats and career.
  • Three ways to play – single player, Official servers, and custom servers with browser.
  • Single-player game settings for – gathering capacity, resource regen, health, time speed, etc.
  • FPS survival gameplay.
  • Has a Halo meets Ark feel to it.
  • Character creator – name, gender (male/female), face, hair, machine arm.
  • Tutorial pop-ups and objectives as you play.
  • Full crafting mechanic.
  • Gather materials from the world and enemies.
  • Scan visor for showing the availability of resources in the area.
  • Invert axis and sensitivity sliders.
  • Has PvP and PvE servers.

Dysterra Preview Cons:

  • Every now and then the game won’t boot and will instead stay in a loading screen indefinitely.
  • Really long initial load even when using an SSD.
  • Very small pop-up text is noticeable in the menus.
  • Guns don’t feel that balanced.
  • Few issues with radiation as it seems to kill me very quickly.
  • Only a handful of character creator options.
  • PvP servers were empty every time I tried.
  • I didn’t enjoy the online aspect as I just had bad experiences like stuff happening when offline.
  • Cannot use the controller on the menus.
