Ever 17 The Out of Infinity Review Pros:
- Decent Anime like graphics.
- 2.6GB download size.
- 48 save slots.
- Auto quick save options – each selection, each scene, each selection and scene, and off.
- Text settings – message display speed, auto mode delay, and skip mode.
- Voice settings – sync voice, and skip voice.
- I don’t think the controls could be any simpler, just press one button when asked, and with auto mode on, it’s only every now and then you interact with the game.
- Visual novel gameplay.
- Auto mode lets the conversations go without you pressing a button.
- Best played as a handheld with headphones.
- Quick save/load, and save/load when you want.
- You can bring up a text log of the conversations.
- Japanese voice with English text.
- The game revolves around multiple choice questions and answers.
- Great looking locations.
- The font is easy to read and is a good size, which is lucky as they have no real options for that.
- There is a lot more voice in this game than in the previous one in the bundle.
- This game has a lot more in terms of locations and art, which made it a lot easier to stay engaged with.
Ever 17 The Out of Infinity Review Cons:
- You cannot remap the controls or change them in any way.
- I’m not sure if it is meant that way, but the text to voice is very sporadic with sentences stopping voice mid way.
- I found this visual novel to take a while for the story to unfold and for me to get into it.
- It’s not great that so much of the game has no voice and then some has so much, I don’t see why it’s like that.
- No English voice choice.
- Large chunks of the game have no interaction choices.
- If you were not hot on the genre before, then this will do little to change that.
- When using auto mode on the big screen, the game still dims.
