First European FINAL FANTASY XIV Fan Festival takes place in London
This weekend, London’s Tobacco Dock saw host to over 2,000 FINAL FANTASY® XIV: A REALM REBORN™ fans, for the first ever European FINAL FANTASY XIV FAN FESTIVAL. At the event, Square Enix Ltd., announced more details for the recently revealed expansion Heavensward™.
During the opening ceremony presentation, FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn Producer / Director, Naoki Yoshida, unveiled Flying Mounts, new primals and a new job… the Dark Knight – all will feature in Heavensward when it launches during Spring 2015.
Personal Flying Mounts enable you to take your adventure to new heights. Two types of Flying Mounts were revealed at Fan Festival, a black Chocobo and single-rider Airships, both will make it easier to reach the floating lands that feature prominently in the expansion.
Heavensward also introduces two new beast tribes, the Vanu Vanu and the Gnath, as well as their primal guardians, the Vanu primal – Bismarck, and the saviour of the Gnath – Ravana.
Finally, after heavy hinting in the previous week, the first new job of Heavensward was revealed: the Dark Knight. This new job serves the party role of Tank, has no base class and wields both weapon and a dark aura.
Yoshida concluded the reveals with one more new job tease (golden guns?), and the promise that more information on Heavensward will be shared during the upcoming Fan Festival event, taking place in Tokyo on 20th – 21st December 2014.
The recently announced “Game of the Year” edition of FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn for PC will be available from 14th November 2014. Packed with bonus content, this edition serves as a collector’s item for both FINAL FANTASY fans and MMORPG players.
