Gladiator’s Arena Review, is a top-down arena shooter rogue-lite where you play as a gladiator wielding up to 7 different medieval weapons to fight off hordes of enemies. Choose from a variety of upgrades and abilities to create unique builds.

Gladiator’s Arena Review Pros:

  • Nice pixel art graphics.
  • 101.3MB download size.
  • Platinum trophy.
  • You get the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 5 versions of the game.
  • Survival gameplay.
  • Is in the same genre as Vampire Survivors.
  • Attacks and abilities happen automatically and all you have to do is move and dodge.
  • Earn coins from each kill.
  • Different enemy types.
  • Wave-based combat.
  • At the end of a wave, you choose one of three random upgrades.
  • Full stats and details on screen at all times for showing damage, crit damage, movement speed etc.
  • The shop on the main menu is where you buy new upgrades to have them show in future runs.
  • Can earn the Platinum trophy in under an hour.

Gladiator’s Arena Review Cons:

  • No actual tutorial.
  • Every creature, animal, and enemy makes the same noise.
  • The only challenge is the first five seconds of a wave then it’s slowed right down to a trickle.
  • The game balance and pacing are all over the place.
  • A small pool of upgrades even after unlocking new ones.
  • Had all three upgrade choices been the same?
  • Not fun to play.
  • No replay value.
  • Has scoring but no online leaderboards.
  • Offers just one character who doesn’t fit the theme and you cannot even customize them.
