Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA- F takes to the stage on PS3 next March

Having graced the Playstation Vita with her twintails earlier this year in Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA- f, everyone’s favourite leek-loving vocaloid Hatsune Miku will be bringing her brand of rhythm action to the Playstation 3 in Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA- F (important difference: note the capitalised F), as this trailer will prove to your eyes and ears.

The console version includes 6 additional exclusive songs, as well as new modules & accessories to tinker around with. All progress data can be carried over from the Vita version, which is great news for Miku fans rocking multiple ‘PERFECT’ track clearance saves (I am not one of them. But I still enjoy playing!).

It feels strange to mention a removal of features when a series has jumped from handheld to console, but that’s the world we live in now thanks to the hands of our cruel SEGA overlords. To be fair, the lack of touchscreen controls was an obvious given, but a swish dedicated controller should at least offer some solace for those who prefer to hammer a solid hunk of plastic instead of their favourite DualShock. The previous title’s AR mode also doesn’t make the cut. My Playstation Eye weeps for you, Miku.

Aside from a brief demoing of the Vita edition at E3 in order to ‘gauge interest’, SEGA continue their (Jet Set) radio silence in regards to nary even a sniff of a release beyond Japanese shores. No such luck for the PS3 version at this stage either, so import hounds might want to get their pre-orders in now.

Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA- F is released on March 7th 2013 in Japan.

Gaming since the Atari 2600, I enjoy the weirdness in games counting Densha De Go and RC De Go as my favourite titles of all time. I prefer gaming of old where buying games from a shop was a thing, Being social in person was a thing. Join me as I attempt to adapt to this new digital age!
