Heroes Never Lose: Professor Puzzler’s Perplexing Ploy Hits Steam Early Access Next Week

Magic Pants Games has just announced the Steam launch date for Heroes Never Lose: Professor Puzzler’s Perplexing Ploy, a hero-themed action-puzzler with a super-powered twist. The game will be released on Steam’s Early Access platform on November 24, 2015 with support for PC, Mac, and Linux.

Heroes Never Lose is a competitive action-puzzler game in the vein of classics like Puyo Puyo, Dr. Mario, and Puzzle Fighter. Drawing inspiration from comics, cartoons, and video games alike, Heroes Never Lose introduces the world to a new lineup of heroes and villains with a lighthearted tone and deeply competitive gameplay.

This new take on the action-puzzler introduces the concept of character specific attacks―specials and supers―that can be activated to affect the opponent’s grid. As opposed to most competitive action-puzzlers where players can almost entirely focus on their own grid, the special and super attacks in Heroes Never Lose work best when timed to counter opponent strategies, giving an edge to players who keep an eye on their enemy’s moves.

Successfully Kickstarted in late 2014, Heroes Never Lose also features an online multiplayer mode, a unique fusion of pixel art style and modern hi-res effects, a kicking soundtrack, and much more.
