Hitbox Demonstrates First Ever 4K 60fps eSports Live Stream Featuring Heroes of the Storm

Hitbox, home to millions of PC game live streamers and eSports enthusiasts from around the world, kicked off the 4K eSports era with a live streaming exhibition match in full 4K resolution at 60 frames per second for the first time ever over the weekend.  Called 4K Heroes, the live demonstration featured Blizzard Entertainment’s Heroes of the Storm™ with popular teams G2 eSports, TCM Gaming, Team Liquid, and Fnatic competing. The four teams competed in two best-of-five semi-final rounds, followed by a best-of-three third place round and the best-of-five final match-up in 4K 60fps for a prize pool of $4K. Expert casters Tetcher and Khaldor, along with MC John Sargent, aka JoRoSaR, hosted the tournament from KaoS Industries Studios in the Netherlands. After a strong showing from Team Liquid in the final match, team Fnatic came out on top to win.
