“It’s almost hard to believe that we’re finally opening the doors to the Multiverse for all Magic players and fans,” said  Stephen Ricossa, Executive Producer of  Magic: Legends at Cryptic Studios.  The development team has worked tirelessly throughout the past year to bring this legendary card game to life. We would like to take this moment to thank everyone who took part in testing the game in closed alpha and providing the feedback we needed to get to where we are today. ”

Magic: The Gathering fans will be able to confirm that spellcasting is the essence of this type of game, and  Magic: Legends is no exception. When released, the A-RPG will feature 175 different colored spells inspired by the original deck of cards, 50 artifacts, and 165 pieces of gear. These spells, scattered across 4 planes and 5 regions of the Multiverse to explore, will be used to build the decks that will allow them to master the chaos of the battles to come. Planeswalkers will also be able to collect numerous artifacts and accumulate pages of grimoire in order to modify and improve spells and their effects. Following feedback from alpha testers,  Magic: Legends has also been equipped with an equipment system for shaping and specializing character setups. Take a look at the video below for an overview of deckbuilding in Magic: Legends:

Magic: Legends is a hack’n’cast, persistent-world online free-to-play A-RPG based on  Magic: The Gathering, the popular strategy card game from Wizards of the Coast. Ancient evil works in the shadows and players will need to assume the role of a planeswalker, a powerful mage capable of traveling across worlds, in order to defeat this threat. As they explore the blueprints of the Multiverse, they will expand their collection of spells and build the perfect deck to master the chaos of the battle ahead. Developed by Cryptic Studios and published by Perfect World Entertainment,  Magic: Legends will be released on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 sometime in 2021.
