Kickstart Dev Gets His Lego GhostBuster Designs Greenlit For Production
So not technically a story on anything computer game related, But it is Lego and Lego gets a free pass around here. Below are a selection of pictures of the new Ghostbuster range, designed and submitted by Satellite Reign dev Brent Waller

5 Lives Studios very own Brent Waller (currently working as lead environmental artist on Kickstarter success Satellite Reign) is something of a LEGO nut – and now a LEGO community celebrity.
LEGO CUUSOO is a website where LEGO fans can submit ideas for models to be put into production – if a submission gains 10,000 supporters, it will be considered during an official review process. Brent’s ECTO-1 car and Ghostbusters team minifigures, hitting the sweet spot of the cult movie’s 30th Anniversary, passed muster (only the seventh kit to be approved since the scheme started in 2008) and with commercial modifications will be made into a retail LEGO kit.
“I grew up with a love of LEGO, video games and movies like Ghostbusters, so it’s a dream come true to have my hand in designing an official LEGO set based on Ghostbusters,” explained Brent.
Brent is also the designer of an exclusive hand-made LEGO minifigure ‘Bob’, available to the highest tier Kickstarter supporters of projectSatellite Reign. Bet those will be worth a bob or two (ahem) given Brent’s new found community kudos.
Just in case you weren’t aware, Satellite Reign is a real-time, class-based strategy game under development at Brisbane based 5 Lives Studios. You control a squad of four agents, each with distinct and unique abilities, as they vie for control of a fully simulated, living, cyberpunk city.
The game world is designed to facilitate emergent gameplay, giving you the tools and freedom to play how you want to play, so you can create strategies and scenarios that not even the developers have anticipated!
Customise your team with the strength to destroy your enemies head-on, or hack into their facilities to manipulate their infrastructure without them ever knowing you were even there.
Will you take down your enemies with brute-force? Covert espionage and infiltration? Or will you use propaganda to influence the citizens of the city and overthrow the controlling powers?
Satellite Reign will be released on Windows, Mac OS and Linux after a successfulKickstarter campaign. Pledges can still be made via PayPal.
