Knights Night Review Pros:
- Decent 1-bit Graphics.
- 208.5MB download size.
- Platinum trophy.
- You get the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 5 versions of the game, which means you can potentially earn two Platinum trophies.
- Fast-paced platformer gameplay.
- Tutorial signs as you play.
- You can kill enemies by jumping on them, and this can make you jump higher.
- Simple Chiptune soundtrack.
- The controls are basic and easy to learn.
- Fast loading times and a respawn timer.
- The goal is to get from one side to the other.
- Three Heart Life System: Each hit takes a heart and loses all three to start again.
- The game looks great with some good-looking locations.
- 2D game world.
- A level select screen that allows you to replay any unlocked levels.
- Find signposts with kitty warnings or witty easter egg sayings.
- Find hidden collectibles and view them on the main menu.
- Basic, easy-to-get trophies.
Knights Night Review Cons:
- No actual game settings.
- The hit detection is bad, I’m looking at the spikes here as just being in the same postcode as them registers as a hit.
- It can be hard at times to make out what is an obstacle and what is just scenery.
- Some of the levels are quite long with no checkpoints.
- No replay value.
- It does sound like it’s the one song on loop, or they cut it up and mix it around.
- You cannot remap the controls.
- Any type of precision and the game falls apart, it’s so hard to judge and proceed.
- The trophy list is nothing special,l just complete the levels.
- There isn’t any scoring system in play.
