Summary
I loves me a good top-down racer, they were amazing fun on the NES and a well-made one is still fun now. Moto Roader MC is a game I recognize the name of but never played, I probably saw it in a magazine and didn’t realize but at any rate, this is all new to me. I like that they have added in many of the now staple re-release options allowing you to tinker with settings for the CRT and having state saves and rewind so us crappier players can still finish the game. The gameplay itself is solid and a lot of fun I must say, I wish you could change the settings for lap amount as 8 is a big ask most of the time but the Cutesy little cars driving around these brilliant tracks never get old. The Omake mode which is basically Rocket league in the early year’s edition is good fun with friends, otherwise, it’s you against a nonmover because for some reason the CPU is not invalid loved or maybe doesn’t like sports? With local leaderboards and four-player support, it’s a good game for local play but a major bummer if you only play online. There is no online functionality at all and that is a real shame but even just as a solo game it is fantastic, maybe not as groundbreaking as previous games or the later ones but it still demands your attention.
