  • Action RPG gameplay.
  • Comes with a swimsuit costume set, and an adventurers item pack.
  • Japanese and English voice choice.
  • Controller settings – Invert axis and sensitivity sliders.
  • Anime cutscenes.
  • You can skip, fast forward, and pause conversations and cutscenes.
  • World map level select.
  • You have main missions and optional side missions.
  • Handy mission markers on the map.
  • Tutorial pop-ups as you play.
  • Combat takes place in a designated space and you can freely attack, defend, and swap characters.
  • Play as you want like go around and level up to make combat easier etc.

  • A bigger emphasis is on customizing your characters with a lot of clothing to find and buy.
  • Share is a marker as to who influences the land. One side is you and if high makes you stronger whereas more to the enemy means the story can change and it’s all a lot harder.
  • When in an area it’s open and allows you to explore, find items, and fight enemies.
  • Loot cubes can be found all over the place.
  • Big bright colorful world.
  • Minimap to help with navigation along with showing where you came from.
  • The mini-map also fills in the main map with points of interest and mission icons.
  • Discs are a fancy way of saying abilities as each one houses one, you can have X amount equipped to each character, you can freely swap them out, and each one gives off a description.
  • Craft new discs within the menu.
  • DC is disc coins that are needed to craft and are given when you break down discs.
  • Ten genres of discs can be crafted – action, puzzle, RPG, adventure, simulation, Shmup, fps, survival, sandbox, and horror.
  • Shops allow you to buy and sell items, gear, etc.
  • Dungeon maps uncover as you explore.
  • You can replay dungeons.
  • Combo skills can be set up and there are three – power, rush, and break.
  • Warp devices act like fast travel when in a dungeon.
  • Each party member is unique and pairing up the right members can make you stronger.
  • If you have the standard game from last year, you can use your previous save and it takes your game stats.

Neptunia: Sisters VS Sisters DX Edition Cons:

  • Cannot rebind controls.
  • The game doesn’t automatically install the additional DLC and instead, you have to go into manage game.
  • You don’t get any explanation for some of the game settings.
  • The opening of the game is a series of long cutscenes and conversations as it sets up the story.
  • Takes a long time to unlock multiple places on the map.
  • The performance overall is not great.
  • No graphic settings.
  • Having to pick a save slot every time you save is a needless faff.
  • Characters repeat themselves a lot.
  • A lot of extra menu presses.
  • Combat can get very mashy.
  • If you don’t have one of the packs installed you cannot use your save. (The game does tell you what is missing which helps)
