• Ki burst-as you do attacks Ki (blue orbs) flash around you, time your button press to clear Yokai traps and regain some Ki (stamina).
• Yokai form-build your gauge and bind with your Yokai to unleash powerful moves and change into a badass looking character for a set time. You have 3 different types to choose from and can change them.
• Stances-3 of them and they affect how attacks happen and the strength them. You can freely swap between them and they are top middle and bottom.
• World map level select.
• Main mission levels and optional side missions.
• Comes with all DLC.
• Good loading times.
• Death-you drop everything and have one life to recover it or lose it forever.
• Summoning Candle-collect these and use them to get everything back after death and your Yokai form.
• Ochoko cups-used to summon Co op help.
• Altars-checkpoint/respawn point but is also where you can level up, summon help, do tutorials, manage items, etc.
• The game revolves around repetition and learning patterns.
• Can sell items/gear at the altar for Amrita (currency) and doing so regularly rewards extra items or bonuses.
• Kodamas- find these little guys and equip one for a unique buff, there is five buffs, and then any subsequent Kodamas increase their effectiveness.
• Lighting fast loading times.
• Summon Co op help, you see their equipment and level before calling upon them and they are NPC or you can call a friend in via the altar.
• Can select and bulk sell items.
• Four quick slot items.
• Skill trees-you have one for each weapon (earn points by using that weapon) and skill trees for abilities and stances.
• Massive boss fights and mini-boss fights.
• Loot has rarity levels.
• Fast fluid satisfying combat.
• Levels are dense with a lot of verticalities.
• Can do drop down attacks.
• Loot drops look cool as they pop up out of enemies, chests, pickups.
• Many shortcuts to find.
• DLC armor gives a huge starting jump on the game.
• Lore is told to you via top notch voice work.
• Such a tense atmosphere.
• Dark realm-controlled by a powerful Yokai, when in the realm enemies are stronger and you regain Ki slower.
• Loot drops will have a red or green arrow to show if they are good or bad.
• Gets proper addictive thanks to so many little victories keeping you on a high.
• Red revenant-appear on the map and like the blue revenants, you can see their level and equipment before summoning. The point of them is to fight them and earn glory and Ochoko cups used for summoning.
• Can replay levels.

Cons:

• The mouse cursor stays on the screen and is always in the center of the screen. (you can manipulate the cursor so it’s off the center by messing around in the settings).
• The resolution goes by your pc screen resolution setting and cannot be changed.
• No benchmark test.
• Very difficult.
• When selecting your Yokai it doesn’t actually say what it is and why it is important.
• Takes a short while for the options to unlock.
• Must learn the ways of the Ki pulse.
• Bad item descriptions leaving me to go out of the game for answers.
• DLC armor gives you a huge starting boost.
