Open Beta Launches September 28 for Frostpoint VR: Proving Grounds

Today, Thirdverse Inc. and inXile entertainment announced that its new team-based multiplayer shooter, Frostpoint VR: Proving Grounds, will be available to play through an open beta test from September 28 to October 19.

Players can earn a free copy of the retail game in a ‘Play to Own’ campaign by connecting their Steam or Oculus account and meeting specific milestones while playing the open beta. Players should visit the Frostpoint VR: Proving Grounds website for more information, https://frostpoint-play2own.thirdverse.io/.

Players are invited to join the Frostpoint VR: Proving Grounds open beta test starting September 28th here:

In Frostpoint VR: Proving Grounds, players are matched into 10v10-player teams that coordinate tactics through approach, strategy, and gear to dominate the enemy team through beautiful maps and engaging game modes like capture and control. Set in an abandoned military base in Antarctica, each team will gear up and set out to dominate the opposing team while protecting themselves from terrifying biomechanical creatures.

During the recent Frostpoint VR: Proving Grounds closed beta on Steam, players tested a wide variety of highly detailed pistols and rifles, realistically holding each with one or two hands to load, rack and fire away at enemies. During the open beta test, players will be able to engage with more weapons and tools to round out their arsenal, new enemies, two new maps and a new game mode (‘Attack and Defend’) that will be released later in the beta.

Frostpoint VR: Proving Grounds is planned for global release in ten languages in 2020 on Oculus Rift, HTC Vive VR, and Valve Index headsets.
