Summary

Path of Titans is a game that offers a unique and immersive dinosaur experience. The game boasts decent graphics and full controller support, making it accessible to various types of players. It also provides a comprehensive range of graphics settings including resolution, window mode, render scale, v-sync, HDR, dynamic resolution, smooth fps, anti-aliasing, shadows, effects, textures, view distance, and foliage.

The game uses its own game launcher software and has a download size of 10.5GB. It also features full mod support complete with a mod browser. Players can choose to play in multiplayer, single-player, or community servers. The game offers two base maps – Panjura and Gondwa. The single-player setup lets you choose the game mode map, and settings like health, exp earn rate, fall damage, enemy damage, etc.

One of the highlights of the game is the ability to customize the dinosaurs you play as, from male/female color, and different species which also affect stats, and you can name them. The game also features decent loading times optional tutorial pop-ups and mission markers. However, the game does require the setup of an Alderon Games account.

Despite its many features, the game does have some drawbacks. The tutorial pop-ups can be intrusive and the game requires precision when attempting to eat or drink. There are also some performance issues throughout the game, including slowdowns. Missions won’t always acknowledge completion and feeding and drinking can be slow and cumbersome. The game’s pace is quite slow, from movement to general game progression.

In terms of multiplayer, it is just matchmaking after picking a map. The game allows for multiple characters to be saved. Depending on your dinosaur choice, you can rest up to get stamina, sneak, or enable fast turning. For main and side missions, you get a full tracker so you can add missions to your sidebar and add map markers.

Overall, Path of Titans offers a unique gaming experience with its high level of tension and the potential for memorable interactions. However, it does have some areas that could be improved for a smoother gaming experience. It just feels like it gets in its own way a lot of the time and the whole experience isn’t as streamlined as you would like.

Gaming since the Atari 2600, I enjoy the weirdness in games counting Densha De Go and RC De Go as my favourite titles of all time. I prefer gaming of old where buying games from a shop was a thing, Being social in person was a thing. Join me as I attempt to adapt to this new digital age!
