Plasma Preview (Steam Early Access)
For this Plasma Preview, We play a creative engineering playground where you can build any device you can imagine. Bring to life your own amazing robots, factories, arcade machines, giant rampaging spiders, whole game worlds, and things that don’t even have a name yet, then share them with the community.
Plasma Preview Pros:

- Mouse settings – Invert axis and sensitivity sliders.
- Opening and ongoing tutorial.

- You have a huge sandbox area to explore and play in.
- First-person view.
- Examples and usable experiments are in the world like drones, robots, and the like.
- You can clone and edit all creations.
- The home is where you can give feedback, read emails, etc.
- Hovering over anything will show a pop-up of controls.
- Placing objects is very easy using a yellow outline for it’s safe to place and red if no it’s not safe.
- The library of parts is split into categories – basic, structures, mechanic, behavior, and decorative.
- Handy search bar for finding parts quickly.
- Play how you want.
- Steam Workshop integration.
- Objects/creations can be set to wireframe mode (able to edit/change) and solid state which is where it’s closed to editing.
- Ride and drive vehicles.
- The diagram mode is where nerds lose their minds! Here you get a full breakdown of how the selected creation is made with flow charts, diagrams, variables, settings, and so much more that I feel I need a degree in engineering to even pronounce!
- Each pre-made creation is missing parts, you get given those parts and instructions on how to install them.
- World browser with tabs like – showcase, discover, subscribed, and my worlds.
- You can search by ID for worlds.
- The drones/flying vehicles are something else as you have remote control and can have a lot of fun.
- Import your own images.
- Encyclopedia and tutorial menus on devices.
- Device browser is the same as the world but for just the devices.
- Despite how complex it gets, The game does quite a good job of guiding new players.
Plasma Preview Cons:
- No Steam achievements.
- It’s a pain you have to subscribe to creators.
- Relies on you making your own fun.
- Cannot rebind controls.
- Doesn’t support a controller.
- No multiplayer.
- Can get overwhelming.
- A lot to take in.
