Quest Master Preview (Steam Early Access)

Quest Master Preview, is a dungeon maker inspired by the classics that first made us love dungeon crawling. • Heavily inspired by Zelda’s link to the past.
  • The game is basically Zelda Maker where you create the Zelda dungeons you always wanted to.
  • Combat is very hack and slash, when getting your sword you have to do a short tutorial.
  • Dungeon making is simple enough with a hot bar and shortcut menu to make it easier to understand.
  • Download and upload other players and your creations.
  • Fast loading times even when playing downloaded maps.
  • Meet characters and have them join your party so they can fight and explore with you.
  • Lucky’s Luck is a shop where every now and then you can open a chest for a chance at a reward.

  • Puzzle elements throughout.
  • Big boss fights.
  • Basically at the moment you are playing created levels only, luckily there are tons of them.
  • Find new tools and weapons to use.
  • The map can be found and fills in the dungeons.
  • A lot of replay value.
  • Handy filters like the latest, hottest, most played uploads.

Quest Master Preview Cons:

  • Bare minimum graphics options.
  • Had my party members get stuck on the scenery.
  • It’s not always clear where to go or what to do.
  • The menu in dungeon-making can be fiddly as it’s very easy to go into the wrong menu.
  • When a party member gets stuck you cannot move the screen forward.
  • Doesn’t offer anything like online multiplayer.
  • You are not always sure when the game has been saved.
  • Never got any sort of tutorials for dungeon-making.
  • There aren’t any baseline missions dungeons, or stories.

Gaming since the Atari 2600, I enjoy the weirdness in games counting Densha De Go and RC De Go as my favourite titles of all time. I prefer gaming of old where buying games from a shop was a thing, Being social in person was a thing. Join me as I attempt to adapt to this new digital age!
