Raccoo Venture is a 3rd person action platformer game with a download size of 921MB. It offers both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions of the game. The game has a Banjo and Crash type feel to the gameplay, with wide open levels, many secrets, and alternate routes. It features big boss battles and chests that require keys to unlock. The game also includes a mini-game where you pick 3 chess pieces and check in later to see if you won anything.

Raccoo Venture provides three actions – jump, ground pound, and throw items like pumpkins, apples, etc. Different enemy types require different strategies to defeat. For example, some can be ground pounded while others may have to be stunned with fruit first. The controls are tight and easy to learn, but it takes a while to get used to the combat.

Collectibles and Rewards: Coins are scattered around the level and collected to be used for lives. When you die, you lose a percentage of your coins. The game features 64 total chess tiles that you are tasked with finding. You can also find and collect troll-like statues and unlock and equip different costumes.

Raccoo Venture has a few challenges, such as hard-to-judge jumps due to the lack of a shadow and boss fights that can be tedious. The game has little replay value. The game does not offer the ability to rebind controls or skip the opening cutscenes. Your home is the central place where it fills up as you find tiles, chess pieces, statues, and clothing.

Overall, Raccoo Venture is a great introductory experience into the genre of 3rd action games, with memorable characters and a world map level select where you can freely walk around the map and get a general feel as to how these games play.

Gaming since the Atari 2600, I enjoy the weirdness in games counting Densha De Go and RC De Go as my favourite titles of all time. I prefer gaming of old where buying games from a shop was a thing, Being social in person was a thing. Join me as I attempt to adapt to this new digital age!
