- Graphics settings – resolution, v-sync, screen mode, and graphics quality preset.
- Chapter selection of unlocked chapters.
- Six total chapters.
- Beautiful pixel art cutscenes.
- Good voicework.
- Can skip cutscenes.
- 2D perspective.
- A mix between an adventure game and a point-and-click game.
- Interactive points show a button prompt and generally have a brief description of said Interactive point.
- Tutorial pop-ups as you play.
- Your phone is used to track tasks.
- Full inventory system.
- Puzzle elements throughout.
- It has a wondrous world full of neon light, colorful characters, and a dark underbelly.
- Animated back and foreground.
- Ducking/sneaking allows you to go behind crates and walls to avoid enemies.
- The lighting and music set the atmosphere up brilliantly.
- Hacking mini-game.
- Simple shooting controls.
- Stamina-based system for running and other actions, it comes back on its own or you can eat food to speed it up.
Rendezvous Review Cons:
- The game can hang at loading screens thinking it’s crashed.
- Cannot rebind controls.
- You get no help with guiding you in a direction or hints to help with puzzles.
- No voice work when in the game and interacting with people or sights.
- The noise and pace of the in-game text is slow.
- As good as the music is, it doesn’t always change when the situation does so like an enemy could appear or a deadly obstacle and you are still getting this chilled soundtrack playing.
- No hard save button in the menu.
- The game thinks you know more than you actually do.
- Not always clear what to do.
- Feels like you get better results just walking around until you get a prompt or a new prompt rather than applying logic.
- Loading times are not great.
- You have to constantly remember to check your journal for tasks, you get no notifications of fi wishing or starting a task.
- Never sure when you’ve hit a checkpoint.
- Melee combat is very messy.
