Rendezvous Review Cons:

  • The game can hang at loading screens thinking it’s crashed.
  • Cannot rebind controls.
  • You get no help with guiding you in a direction or hints to help with puzzles.
  • No voice work when in the game and interacting with people or sights.
  • The noise and pace of the in-game text is slow.
  • As good as the music is, it doesn’t always change when the situation does so like an enemy could appear or a deadly obstacle and you are still getting this chilled soundtrack playing.
  • No hard save button in the menu.
  • The game thinks you know more than you actually do.
  • Not always clear what to do.
  • Feels like you get better results just walking around until you get a prompt or a new prompt rather than applying logic.
  • Loading times are not great.
  • You have to constantly remember to check your journal for tasks, you get no notifications of fi wishing or starting a task.
  • Never sure when you’ve hit a checkpoint.
  • Melee combat is very messy.

Gaming since the Atari 2600, I enjoy the weirdness in games counting Densha De Go and RC De Go as my favourite titles of all time. I prefer gaming of old where buying games from a shop was a thing, Being social in person was a thing. Join me as I attempt to adapt to this new digital age!
