Review: Black & White Bushido (PlayStation 4)

For millennia, light and shadow have existed in parallel, neither aware of the others existence till an eclipse shattered the fabric of both realities. Choose a side and enter a world where skill and reflexes determine who will survive and claim victory.

Pros:

  • Decent graphics.
  • 675.8 MB Download size.
  • Platinum trophy.
  • Colour contrast slider.
  • Gameplay is a deathmatch game where you are white or black, The background areas change between black and white, When white is in white you are invisible, Same as black.
  • Four characters available.
  • Supports four player offline and online play.
  • Seven stages to play on.
  • Three modes- Deathmatch, Challenge and CTF.
  • AI Bot support for both online and online.
  • Kills to win between 5-40.
  • Online- Host or join game options.
  • Kill/Death stats screen at game end.
  • Items spawn in levels. Can keep them even after death, They range from shurikens to distraction.
  • Challenge- SP only where you have to do various tasks to unlock more and score points.
  • Easy to learn controls.
  • Fast frantic gameplay.
  • Easy Platinum trophy.
  • Clash with opponents to block attacks.
  • Very much a pick up and play.

Cons:

  • No tutorial.

  • Very short lived experience.

Gaming since the Atari 2600, I enjoy the weirdness in games counting Densha De Go and RC De Go as my favourite titles of all time. I prefer gaming of old where buying games from a shop was a thing, Being social in person was a thing. Join me as I attempt to adapt to this new digital age!
