Pros:

  • Chunky cartoon graphics.
  • Full Platinum trophy.
  • Download size: 1.24GB.
  • Mario Kart inspired gameplay. Drive karts, Pick up weapons and eliminate your opponents. Melee attack is a homage to the Road Rash series.
  • Options: Music/FX slider, Vibration on/off, Auto accelerate and clear upgrades option.
  • Singleplayer:
    • Story mode: Play through 5 championships with 3 races within each one until you get to the final face off against Death!
    • Quick race.
    • Time trial.
    • Open world: You can just cruise around the world. Icons will appear where you can trigger races or do the mini game where you race around collecting items.
  • Splitscreen: Explore or quick race.
  • Seven starting characters with Death being an unlockable eighth character.
  • Opening tutorial level within the story mode.
  • Earn coins and exp in races by racing and taking out opponents and even hitting objects like cones and bins.
  • Thirteen tracks to play through with each one feeling unique in its own way.
  • Handful of weapons to use accommodating the usual suspects in these games. Rockets, oil slick, speed boost and guns to name a few.
  • Wonderful cheery soundtrack.
  • Melee can be charged for a more powerful and meaningful strike.
  • Fast restart after wiping out.
  • Attack icons pop up to warn you of attacks on the rear.
  • Speed strips add a much needed speed boost.
  • Obstacles on the track including cars, People and even Zombies.
  • Easy to play.
  • Best played in multiplayer for maximum laughs.
  • Very accessible.

Cons:

  • Rear view pans around instead of being instant and is really quite jarring.
  • Juddery performance especially as weapons go off or pile ups happen.
  • Only one controller layout.
  • Cannot restart races in Championship despite there being an option.
  • Not ablew to shoot backwards.
  • Delay when pressing X to continue.
  • Story mode is quite short with seasoned players able to knock it out easily.
  • No online play.
  • For single players there is little replay ability.
