  • Territory- Each square on the board is a territory and is coloured, Each colour represents the element it represents. Each monster has its own element. Match the monster with the element to increase their stats. You can place any monster lement on any territory but obviously it wont be as strong. Place multiple monsters on multiple territories to create a chain which again empowers everyone on them.

  • GP- You earn this by hitting gates, Taking out enemies, Leveling up land and taking over land. You get to spend your GP on levelling up the territories and paying tolls but you also have one GP amount that is your overall score. This is the number you must get to the goal score in order to win. This number changes upon territory ownage.

Summary

Absolutely brilliant! The response I give every time anyone asks me about this game. As an avid CCG player I found this game not only scratched the itch but also escalated my addiction. Takes a while to get used to how the game plays sure but once it clicks you are hooked in. Looking at it like a Monopoly meets Magic The Gathering is the perfect description. Like Monopoly as you choose what land to buy and level up, Pay tolls when you land on opponents squares etc. Like MTG in the way cards are played and the art and style of play. Its a perfect marriage of cards and board games with RPG elements. Even when you lose you still benefit which is just fine by me. Seriously this game is absolutely brilliant and well worth checking out whether or not you are a CCG fan, This game has a strong story but its the card battling that keeps you coming back. In short this is one of the best games on 3DS.

Gaming since the Atari 2600, I enjoy the weirdness in games counting Densha De Go and RC De Go as my favourite titles of all time. I prefer gaming of old where buying games from a shop was a thing, Being social in person was a thing. Join me as I attempt to adapt to this new digital age!
