Cons:

  • Long loading times when they happen.
  • Not the best voice acting.
  • Some bad character animations.
  • Never sure the game has saved.
  • Ghost outlines/Other players will glitch up on screen then disappear or do weird stuff like going through walls and the floor.
  • Traffic will just appear or disappear.
  • Hard to use GPS system as you have to analyze the minimap in order to understand it.
  • Bad track layouts with a lot of opportunities for you to get your car stuck or bring it to a halt.
  • Long way between checkpoints in races making it hard at time to know where you are going.
  • Slow map menu.
  • A lot of dead space around.
  • Cheap AI.
  • Cannot buy upgrades.
  • Awkward radio control.
  • Hitting walls in any way will instantly slow you down.
  • Little guidance on how all the events, currencies and map works.
  • Music is very much one of them and it is a short list really.

Summary

The Crew 2 build upon the last game and introduce every way of driving except maybe downhill shopping cart racing but fingers crossed for DLC! Ahem anyway the game has a lot of promise and certainly lives up to the play how you want ethos, I personally found the actual racing part the weakest part, For it feels slow and sluggish even in planes and sports cars, You never feel like you are completely in control and boats are just no fun whats o ever. Moving away from that you can still play it and still get fun out of it, I for example like just exploring the world and doing the photo missions. Boring to some yes, But not to me and I still get to level up and not miss out. The AI can be cheap but then so can I, All in all Crew 2 is ambitious and not a total car wreck, It has some neat ideas but also fails at some more needed assignments. For now, it is a nice to play not a must own but this could change in a few patches time.
