Shift Legacy Collection Review (Steam)
Shift Legacy Collection Review, Step into the monochromatic and mind-bending universe of the Shift series developed by Antony Lavelle, where black and white landscapes hide more than meets the eye. This collection unites the original four titles – Shift, Shift 2, Shift 3, and Shift 4. At the heart of the series is the ability to “shift” – flipping the game environment and inverting levels, turning floors into ceilings and obstacles into pathways as you try to find your way to the next room.
Shift Legacy Collection Review Pros:
- Decent monochrome graphics.
- 96.97MB Download size.
- Steam achievements.
- Own in-game achievements for each game.
- Full controller support.
- Graphics settings – fullscreen.
- Five games in one – Shift, Shift 2, Shift 3, Shift 4, and Shift players packs.
- Puzzle platformer gameplay.
- Opening tutorial sections in the games.
- Brief description of the history of the game.
- Online leaderboards for each game and they show the top five players on the main game selection screen.
- Levels and the overall game are timed.
- Some of the tightest-level designs I have ever seen.
- The gimmick of the game is at any point you can flip the world upside down changing the level and what can and cannot be used as a platform.
- At the end of the game, you get a final time and score.
- You can go back to the game select menu.
- A whole lot of content in one package.
- What is really good is how different each game plays as it adds in new mechanics and obstacles. Every game is a standalone experience.
- All the games are unlocked from the start and you can play in any order.
- You can replay games.
Shift Legacy Collection Review Cons:
- The performance is not always great.
- Cannot remap controls.
- The on-screen button prompts show the mouse and keyboard only.
- The store page says the game doesn’t have controller support but it does.
- The mouse cursor stays on the screen when using the controller.
- The menus are not amazing and are awkward at times.
