Sunblaze Review (Steam)
In our Sunblaze Review, we take on this opportunity to try our hand at the ever-difficult speed platformer genre. Like the games that came before it, Celeste, Meatboy, we try and make sense of it all and put our reflexes up for sacrifice.

- Controller support.
- Hardcore speed platformer gameplay.
- Graphics-fullscreen, resolution, v-sync, show blood, camera shake, and flickering effects.
- Can rebind controls for both keyboard and the controller.
- Quick restart button. (optional)
- Extra settings- game clock, chapter clock, quick skip cutscenes, death counter, and run in the background.
- Two game modes- standard and zen.
- Four save slots.
- Six chapters.
- Ridiculously addictive.
- Tight controls.
- Clever mechanics.
- Devious yet initiative-level design.
- Accessibility options for us crap players- invincibility, infinite dashes, infinite jumps, break glass by touching, higher jumps, and higher double jumps.
- Puzzle platformer.
- You learn and adapt as you play.
- Optional Collectibles in levels.
- Can replay levels.
- Zen mode- lowers the difficulties and makes the story levels shorter overall.
- A lot of replay value
Sunblaze Cons:
- Difficult.
- No online leaderboards.
- The story doesn’t feel like it’s even needed.
- No checkpoints.
- It’s all geared more towards speedrunning.
- No level creator.
- Sometimes you can feel stuck with no way of hints or tips.
- Nothing in the way of unlocks.
