Summary

Meat Boy is a game series that is one for people who like to suffer for their enjoyment. It’s a Splatformer of the highest level with the difficulty turned up to “Are you fucking kidding me!” in forever it’s that but even higher! I mean it’s just a really difficult speed platformer game, you are always running in a direction, and you can manipulate that with sliding and dive-bombing. It’s a really polished game, that’s never in doubt but the game is really difficult and has no way for new/less experienced players to access the game. It is a fantastic game but you have to be prepared to work for it as it makes Dark Souls look like Mario. The gameplay is solid, but it doesn’t hit you as hard as the first game did, for me forever felt like an additional amount of levels rather than a new game because it never pushes itself further or reinvents itself. It is bloody good fun though mind.

Gaming since the Atari 2600, I enjoy the weirdness in games counting Densha De Go and RC De Go as my favourite titles of all time. I prefer gaming of old where buying games from a shop was a thing, Being social in person was a thing. Join me as I attempt to adapt to this new digital age!
