Review: Super Smash Brothers Brawl

Follow up to the N64 classic game Super Smash Melee. Brawl lets you play as classic Nintendo characters and battle to the death in various settings, Hell its not just Nintendo characters though some special guests from other games make an appearance. There is a story mode which has a great many hours worth of play.
The actual controls while fiddly at first grow on you and you will love the humour and style of play.

  • Huge selection of characters from the Nintendo family
  • So many unlocks and I mean so many, Ranging from music to levels to demos of games its all in there
  • Lengthy story mode like 7-10 hours worth
  • Fun levels that can help/hinder you
  • Multiplayer both online and offline
  • Allows you to play older games such as Zelda (NES), F-Zero (SNES) to name but a few
  • Various game modes like baseball, Survival, Brawling, Target practice
  • Graphics are one of the best on Wii
  • Feels like a retro game but plays as a modern game
  • The soundtrack
  • The story is actually believable considering the roster
  • Level editor
  • Ability to take photos
  • Collect stickers in a sticker album

  • Controls with the Wii Mote are awkward at first
  • Kirby kicks my ass
As you can see its a truly great game and a must play for all Nintendo fans. Il let the pro’s and con’s show what to expect

Gaming since the Atari 2600, I enjoy the weirdness in games counting Densha De Go and RC De Go as my favourite titles of all time. I prefer gaming of old where buying games from a shop was a thing, Being social in person was a thing. Join me as I attempt to adapt to this new digital age!
