Review: Super Star Dust Delta

The popular Star Dust series comes to the PlayStation Vita. Bringing us all the same frantic shooting and score chasing madness we come to expect, Lets see how it stacks up
  • Bright Sparkly graphics with glorious explosions
  • Main campaign is a short affair but you  play it more for the leader board chasing
  • Unlocked campaign levels can be replayed individually or all in one go
  • Veterans of the series will realise only a few of the gun types made it into this game, Favoring just the ice and fire variations
  • Game play otherwise sticks to the original in every way
  • New game modes are present, Each one using the unique Vita only capabilities. We have one where you use the rear touch pad to slide your ship arounds the screen to one where you tap the screen to cause explosions
  • Great musical score
  • Its still a twin stick shooter and you can use the rear pad in normal play as a button to launch a black hole move
  • You unlock new music via the Near function
  • Higher difficulties will frustrate you
  • Depending on how you hold the Vita could cause you to accidentally press the rear touch pad alot, causing you to waste your special bombs
In summary its a great fit for the Vita, Due to its smal file size its perfect for snack bite gaming. Not expensive either and new DLC added this game has a lot going for it. Get your friends on board and you will be score chasing for months to come.

Gaming since the Atari 2600, I enjoy the weirdness in games counting Densha De Go and RC De Go as my favourite titles of all time. I prefer gaming of old where buying games from a shop was a thing, Being social in person was a thing. Join me as I attempt to adapt to this new digital age!
