For our Superliminal Review, where perception is reality. In this mind-bending first-person puzzler, you escape a surreal dream world by solving impossible puzzles using the ambiguity of depth and perspective.

Superliminal Review Pros:

  • Decent graphics.
  • 4.45GB download size.
  • Platinum trophy and a seperate set of two trophies for the new modes.
  • You get the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 5 versions of the game.
  • Puzzle gameplay.
  • Three game modes – main game, challenge mode, and Developer commentary mode.
  • Game settings – subtitles, camera shake, and speed run timer.
  • Controller settings – Invert axis and sensitivity sliders.
  • Fast loading times.
  • Full 3D game world.
  • Button prompts show on Interactive parts.
  • The very clever gimmick in that the way you view something alters the size of the object.
  • Some of the best-level designs I have ever seen in a puzzle game.
  • Restart the checkpoint option with a timer showing.
  • Handy restart level menu option.
  • Piano heavy soundtrack.
  • The atmosphere of it all is very Portal as you are in a center with an Ai voice and must clear puzzle room after puzzle room.

Superliminal Review Cons:

  • Cannot rebind controls.
  • Takes some getting used to.
  • The tutorial prompts are not as clear as you would like.
  • Options don’t show controls.
  • No way to get any real help if you get stuck.

Gaming since the Atari 2600, I enjoy the weirdness in games counting Densha De Go and RC De Go as my favourite titles of all time. I prefer gaming of old where buying games from a shop was a thing, Being social in person was a thing. Join me as I attempt to adapt to this new digital age!
