Sword Of The Vagrant Review Cons:

Slow starter.
Knockback is a pain in the ass, especially in the platforming sections.
The major obstacles will always be if you have the necessary abilities unlocked.
Can be hard to know what parts of the environment can be broken.
Combat gets very hectic and hard to deal with mobs.
Repeats the same task over and over.
No quick way to check if you have new loot or better loot.

Summary

Little is different here from The Xbox Series S version. I am so impressed, addicted and loving Sword Of The Vagrant. It is a 2D action RPG game that feels like a spiritual successor to the fantastic game of the genre, Dragons Crown. The gameplay loop, the boss fights and how much loot drops, its very good and is just a ton of fun. The artwork is matched with a stellar soundtrack, the controls are simple enough to learn and generally it all slots into place very quickly. I had a few instances of losing my way or getting stuck in a certain area not knowing that the powerups/ability tree is actually the true enemy. If you get stuck then you go to the skill tree first as it’s nearly always a case of your stuck due to not having the power-up or ability. Outside of that niggle the gameplay is smooth and has varying combat encounters and so much loot! It’s a game that just keeps going and is honestly just great to get in to, regardless if you have played or even heard of Dragons Crown, Make no mistake Sword Of The Vagrant is the real deal and a fantastic title.
