The Crew MotorFest Review Cons:

  • Long boot-up loading time.
  • No feedback instantly on whether your cars were imported or could be imported.
  • Bringing up the game menu for all modes is a visual assault.
  • They never made it so switching between vehicles can be part of a combo for score and exp.
  • There is a lot going on at all times so it can be hard to focus.
  • Clunky music player app.
  • The good modes at least early on are all locked behind PlayStation Plus as it’s online only, this pertains to the limited-timed events.
  • Navigating all the menus for challenges and playlists is just so chaotic.
  • You have to do ten playlists before you unlock Fast Travel.
  • A lot of the events go on far too long.
  • The map is not the best and is a nightmare to use or look for anything in particular.
  • In-app purchases.
  • You cannot skip all the cutscenes and sequences.
  • The noise of the cars when out of an event is not great and sounds off.
  • You don’t earn the exp for driving and stunts etc. when in an event.
  • All the cool stuff is such a grind to get to.
  • The Last lap or final 10 percent of the race always has your opponents slowing down for you.
  • It feels like the icons for activities, opportunities, and Collectibles are all the same.
  • When in the game you cannot access Uplay Connect and you don’t get Uplay Connect notifications.

Gaming since the Atari 2600, I enjoy the weirdness in games counting Densha De Go and RC De Go as my favourite titles of all time. I prefer gaming of old where buying games from a shop was a thing, Being social in person was a thing. Join me as I attempt to adapt to this new digital age!
