Hagen’s Alley Entertainment today announced the crowdfunding campaign for The Switch Collector: Volume Two, a full-color, comprehensive guide to every game physically released in the first half of the Nintendo Switch™ console’s second year. The campaign for The Switch Collector: Volume One funded within hours of launch, and this year’s edition is expected to be even bigger at over 400 full color pages, featuring the inclusion of Indie Limited Edition publishers new to the Switch scene, in addition to every physical game release. The Kickstarter campaign is going live this morning at 11:00 AM Eastern Daylight Time at https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/thesubcon3/the-switch-collector-volume-two-nintendo-collector-series
Created by noted video game historian and writer Jeffrey Wittenhagen, the unlicensed and unofficial Switch Collector editions features 1-6 pages written on each physically released game, with a combination of a review along with personal experiences for each game. Various games receive more coverage due to their impact and some collector aspects will also be featured, but all games are accompanied by screenshots and region-appropriate box art. Aside from the release information, there is also a comprehensive listing of all of the modes you can play with your system. Finally, a Hagen’s Alley staple, there are collector boxes for you to track if you own, have played, completed and your personal rating for each game; allowing you to completely personalize this book to your liking.
“In addition to the wealth of information compiled in these books, my favorite part is the Contributor Switch Stories,” said Wittenhagen. “Sharing personal stories with other gamers is the heart of this hobby, so we wanted to make sure to include them in our Switch Collector editions and respect the historical impact of this console.”
