Undead Horde 2: Necropolis Review Pros:

  • Decent graphics.
  • 901MB download size.
  • Own in-game achievements.
  • Gameplay settings – command direction from walk direction, show active quest arrow, highlight the king, opaque mini-map, draw tooltips, and anti-nausea camera swapping.
  • Can rebind controls.
  • Graphics settings – dynamic shadows.
  • Four save slots.
  • Cutscenes are a mix of comic book art style and in-game scenes.
  • Opening tutorial levels.
  • Kill enemies and then bring them back from the dead and fight for you.
  • Command your army by pointing at something and issuing the command.
  • Buildings have health bars and generate enemies, luckily you can take buildings down.
  • Necropolis is your home and it’s in Ruins, you restore Death and work together to rebuild Necropolis.
  • In Necropolis you can unlock statues that allow you to build up your army without the need for enemy remains.
  • The stash is your central chest for storing items etc.
  • Full inventory system out of the stash part.
  • Soul jars are collected from areas and are needed to fix up Necropolis.
  • The Hud shows how many minions you have but you can bring up a more detailed information board with a button press.
  • Offers both a mini-map and a giant map of locations.
  • Hover is where you move faster, but it only kicks in when you are out of combat.
  • You can dismiss just wounded minions.
  • Looks stylish.
  • Earn EXP and level up to get choose one of three upgrades each time.
  • Loot can vary from currency to weapons.
  • Weapons will show green and red text comparisons.
  • Loot chests can be found.
  • On-screen button prompts.
  • Clear areas to get a soul jar that is then used to upgrade minions in your horde.
  • You can sell unwanted loot from within the inventory.
  • Unlock fast travel points.
  • The handy circle bar shows how many minions you have and how many of particular minion types.
  • Very playable.
  • Can get very addictive as you progress further.

Undead Horde 2: Necropolis Review Cons:

  • No voice work in the game with the characters.
  • Takes some getting used to as the aiming of orders is quite loose.
  • Slow starter.
  • The button prompts are huge.
  • You don’t have any camera control.
  • Effigies need to be found and collected to unlock new minion types.
  • Your view can get easily obstructed.
  • A lot of loading screens.
  • Difficulty spikes.
