What The Dub Review (PlayStation 4)

Our What The Dub Review showcases this multiplayer party game where each player overdubs missing dialogue from hilariously awful B-movies, outdated PSAs, and bizarre industrial films, Think Rifftrax the game!

What The Dub Review Pros:

  • Decent graphics.
  • 1.50GB download size.
  • Platinum trophy.
  • Works on Playstation 5.
  • Game options-bad words on/off, hide room code, extended input time, number of rounds (3/4/5/6/7/8/9/10).
  • Subtitles-on/off.
  • Solo play is possible.
  • Twitch Integration.
  • Streamer options- hide room code, start from the controller, require a login, allow the audience and kick inactive audience members.
  • You need at least 3 players to have voted.
  • Game- a video clip will play and a part will be muted so you fill in the gap by typing in a box and the announcer reads it out.
  • Good at picking up words.
  • You can add sfx to your text.
  • Classic and obscure films.
  • Easy to play.
  • Suitable for all ages.
  • So easy to lose track of it all and keep playing game after game.
  • Easy trophy list.

What The Dub Review Cons:

  • Needs a minimum of 3 players otherwise there is no voting or winner.
  • Clips will eventually repeat themselves.
  • When writing a Dub you get no feedback on length so you can make your Dub too long or too short and it breaks the experience.
  • Only one game type.
  • They say a film (House on Haunted Hill) is a B-Movie which is WRONG!

Gaming since the Atari 2600, I enjoy the weirdness in games counting Densha De Go and RC De Go as my favourite titles of all time. I prefer gaming of old where buying games from a shop was a thing, Being social in person was a thing. Join me as I attempt to adapt to this new digital age!
