World For Two Review (Steam)
Our World For Two Review has us traversing a stunning pixel landscape, collecting resources, and solving genetic puzzles to bring life back to a desolate planet. We play as an android created by the last human in existence to retrace evolution and save the world from mass extinction while discovering the true weight of the human condition.
World For Two Review Pros:
- Beautiful pixel art graphics.
- 250.95MB download size.
- Steam achievements.
- Controller support.
- Life creating a Sim gameplay.
- Very simple to learn controls.
- The World as we know it is gone, it’s just a barren wasteland with little to no signs of life. You are an android created by the only known surviving human (Doctor).
- Laidback atmosphere.
- You cannot die or get the game over.
- DNA – Use the machine to combine a creature’s DNA with an artificial gene. Combine with different types to create different creatures.
- Natural energy deposits that need a Starflame of matching color to activate them, natural energy spawns over time.
- Natural energy can be used to upgrade your Gene Printer (where you make artificial genes) and used to pay for the artificial genes.
- Day/night cycle.
- Match DNA strands with a new creature to enable the ability to extract DNA.
- Take too much DNA from a creature and it disappears.
- You can fast travel between any discovered locations.
- Creatures will have icons to show if they have been initially matched with DNA strands and also how much DNA they have left.
- Book – acts as a combination guide of what goes with what and updates over time.
- Near-instant loading times.
- Great looking creatures.
World For Two Review Cons:
- The mouse cursor stays on the screen when using the controller.
- No graphics settings.
- A lot to take in.
- Slow starter.
- It gets very grundy very quickly, as you need so much natural gas, it’s a waiting game.
- No real help for combos to use instead of just showing already done combos.
- Failed attempts still take the genes and DNA.
- No way to change the natural gas color once it’s done.
- None of the creatures makes a sound.
- Short game clocking in around six hours.
- No replay value.
- Music is repetitive.
