WWE 2K24 Review Cons:
- Long installation sequence on the digital version. You cannot play the game until it is done. (this is if you boot the game when you are told its ready to start)
- The acting in set pieces can be borderline cheesy.
- Makes me agree to the EULA and terms every time u boot the game up.
- Cannot remap controls.
- A lot of unskippable sequences from cutscenes to interactions.
- The Bump show has awkward long pauses.
- Your character in MyRise is so dull and lifeless in his line delivery and charisma as he has no charisma.
- Whenever you are in game mode, everything outside of the fighting feels flat and lifeless.
- They try to make a seamless transition between film and game to a very noticeable hard cut.
- Can be hard to know how to do certain moves at a given time.
- Some of the animations look bad.
- Man, some of the character models look dubious at best.
- Set pieces can break up the immersion and cause setups that are not realistic.
- Faces and names are blurred out in some of the classic tapes, it happens but man it looks weird.

Summary
WWE 2K24 is a game that brings the wrestling world to life with its use of real video footage, allowing players to relive the greatest moments from the previous 39 Wrestlemanias. The game offers six modes including My Faction, Play, Universe, Showcase, MyRise, and MyGM, each providing a unique gaming experience.
The MyRise mode introduces two new stories – Unleashed and Undisputed. In this mode, players can interact with various characters and engage in multiple-choice encounters. Players can earn upgrade points and level up their stats. However, the character in MyRise might feel a bit dull and lifeless in his line delivery and charisma.
Universe mode offers new and improved rival actions and outcomes, while MyGM gives players control over brands, drafting, booking shows, and a chance to enter the hall of fame. The game also offers four difficulty levels – Easy, Normal, Hard, and Legend, catering to a wide range of player skills.
The gameplay settings are extensive, including weight detection, stamina mode, pin mini-game, trading blows, and more. Targeting opponents can be set to manual or semi-auto, and each local player can set their own. Player sliders for balancing are available on a 0 to 100 scale.
The game supports save transfer from PlayStation 4 and provides various roster options such as edit superstar, edit teams, stats, title management, and money in the bank management. It offers a wide variety of match types and rules, catering to different player preferences.
The Creations feature allows players to customize superstars, entrances, victory move sets, championships, arenas, shows, custom matches, signs and images, and videos. Creating an entrance offers a lot of options and lets players get creative with its powerful tools.
My Faction is a mode where players can earn and buy cards to collect Superstars and upgrade their cards. It offers daily login rewards and involves doing a certain win condition. Faction wars in MyFaction is a run-based game mode where players can play matches and earn rewards.
However, the game has some areas for improvement. The acting in set pieces can be borderline cheesy, and the game requires agreement to the EULA and terms every time it boots up. Controls cannot be remapped, and some animations and character models look dubious. Set pieces can break up the immersion and cause setups that are not realistic. Faces and names are blurred out in some of the classic tapes, which can look weird.
Overall, WWE 2K24 offers a comprehensive and immersive wrestling experience, for me it’s improved over previous years as it has many game modes that offer a vastly different experience, couple that with tighter controls and it feels like the franchise could be back on the right track but time will tell.
