Summary
Not a lot to say about Yars Revenge, to be honest, this version is silky smooth and absolutely nails what it is going for. Yars Revenge is a Shmup where you take down many enemy types and shoot hexagonal blocks to power up your huge laser. With a combo of Shmup action and bullet hell craziness, the game is all about avoiding danger as much as it is shooting them down. It’s the missions mode that keeps you coming back and if you just want a nostalgia fix then the Arcade mode is the best way to re-experience this classic.
