In this 6 Souls Review our heroes, adventure enthusiasts Jack and his faithful dog companion Butch, go on an exciting quest to find an abandoned castle where the entire Clifford family vanished years ago. The whole castle is surrounded by mystery, from its dark dungeons to its highest towers.

  • 1000 Gamerscore.
  • Controller settings – dead zone sliders.
  • Hints/tutorials – on/off.
  • 3 save slots.
  • Two difficulties – classic or adventure which is harder and has stronger bosses.
  • In-game cutscenes.
  • Can skip the cutscenes.
  • Chapter 1 acts as a tutorial.
  • Platformer gameplay.
  • You can jump, wall climb, wall jump, block and swing your weapon.
  • Coins and Bacon are hidden Collectibles.
  • Chapters are split into a series of screens.
  • Looks like Terraria.
  • World map level select.
  • Can replay levels.
  • Each level has a death counter, coins, bacon, and the best clear time.
  • You get to play as your Dog where you can do double jumps.
  • Slight puzzle elements in places.
  • Hack and slash combat.

6 Souls Review

6 Souls Review Cons:

  • Looks like a Terraria fan game in terms of the graphics and style.
  • Chapter 1 is so long and boring having loads of empty platforming screens.
  • The game gives you interactive signs for tutorial stuff but right next door is an image and button icon showing you.
  • Only 13 achievements.
  • Stamina is used for climbing but you only get a set amount and no way of knowing how much is left until you flash red then drop.
  • Very basic combat.
  • Levels are not that interesting.
  • Enemies respawn very quickly.
  • No replay value.
  • Cannot rebind controls.
  • No online leaderboards.
