  • Your town- play the game earn coins and build buildings/guild management/item management/new strategies unlock.
  • Hit/damage chance shown on attacks beforehand.
  • Play how you want.
  • World map-free roam, uncovers as you move, you can see encounters, loot, etc.
  • Clear easy to use AP (action points) system that shows what you would use with your actions.
  • Overwatch-if you have enough AP left you will automatically go into overwatch. (overwatch is where you have a cone of sight and if an enemy enters the cone you shoot).
  • When selecting abilities/attacks you get a preview video of it.
  • Pop up text of damage etc.
  • Enemies may drop loot.
  • Very enjoyable.
  • Earn EXP, level up, and put points into your skill tree and this can be done whilst in a game.
  • Team attacks and opportunity attacks, possible to combo attacks together.
  • Terrain-you can knock/break it over and use it as a makeshift cover or even have it land on enemies.
  • Cool over the shoulder kills hot animation.
  • It feels and plays light.
  • Decent cheerful soundtrack.

Cons:

  • Using the controller in menus can be confusing as it doesn’t always highlight options.
  • I couldn’t see a way to skip a single player’s turn.
  • Pop-ups can get in the way.
  • RNG heavy.
  • No voice work.
  • The camera can zoom in/out and miss the action.
  • The tutorial is very basic.
  • Slow world map travel as it adheres to turn/AP limit.
  • You don’t set overwatch direction.

Gaming since the Atari 2600, I enjoy the weirdness in games counting Densha De Go and RC De Go as my favourite titles of all time. I prefer gaming of old where buying games from a shop was a thing, Being social in person was a thing. Join me as I attempt to adapt to this new digital age!
