  • Three modes- Story mode, free mode, and online mode.
  • Anime cutscenes.
  • J-pop soundtrack.
  • Optional tutorial section with 14 lessons.
  • Racing gameplay.
  • Eight weapons to pick up and use.
  • Your ride is a modified Jetski-you can do boosts, drift, drift boosts, shoot from it (your partner on the back), do tricks.
  • Shooter node-press Square to go into a more focused view and the gun will auto fire. You can fire both forwards and behind. It will lock on.
  • Shields-these take damage and eventually break. You can pick up an item to help repair or the shield will do it itself if no damage is taken for a time.
  • Nine types of special attack, one for each gun and one nonweapon special.
  • EPD gauge-fills up by doing tricks, drifts, position and is used to unleash special attacks and use a boost.
  • Starting dash-press accelerate on the second countdown to get a speed start.
  • The main story-each school has its own arc. You unlock them one by one as you complete them.
  • Free mode-setup your own race or time trial by setting the course, route, Ai difficulty, and lap count.
  • Online leaderboards.
  • Online mode-ranked and casual. Can create public/private rooms in casual.

  • Can fast forward/skip/pause cutscenes and dialogue.
  • Before a race, you can edit your characters and ride.
  • End of level rank and mission stars based on 1 to 3 stars.
  • Unlock new characters/rides/accessories by playing.
  • Jet machine cleaning mini game-press buttons displayed as fast you can to fill your fever bar to which you then mash a button all the while building your combo and score. 3 difficulties-easy/normal and hard and it determines how many buttons can show up.
  • Mopping mini game-basically a racing game whereby you mop puddles and avoid cones, hit fever mode and cones become points.
  • Treadmill run mini game-you are on a treadmill surprisingly and you press a button to slow down and mash the button to speed up, you must collect hearts for a score.
  • Aerials mini game-race a lap of a track and do tricks and pass through rings to score.
  • Over 100 missions in the story mode.
  • Easy Platinum if a bit time-consuming.
  • Uploading your race times are optional each time.
  • Time attack gives you infinite ammo but a cool down for reloading and a handy 500 yards left notification.
  • Minimap to show other racer positions.

Cons:

  • Voice is Japanese only.
  • Cannot skip the opening cutscene.
  • Chesticles a plenty so NSFW for many.
  • Forgettable story.
  • The slowdown happens a lot.
  • Only one driving view.
  • Bouncing off the walls is instant slowness.
  • Initial learning curve especially with learning how to land jumps.
  • Slow starter.
  • Can’t look behind.
  • Have to play the first level of the story in order to unlock the free and online modes.
  • Aiming behind is really tricky.
  • No difficult settings for the story mode.
  • Racing can feel unenergetic from the music to the way the Ai plays.
  • Have to unlock difficulties in the mini-games.
