Assetto Corsa EVO Preview Cons:
- No Steam. Achievements.
- Cannot do text entry with the controller even in big picture mode, it still requires a keyboard.
- The menu is not great to use with the controller, a lot of options require you to select them just to change the option.
- A lot of options are greyed out atm from dealerships to the Academy and race weekend.
- I’m guessing it’s acting like a screens aver but if you don’t press anything in like a minute the game reverts to showcasing your cars and taking all ay the menus until you interact with it again.
- Custom weather is greyed out but shows.
- No tutorials or help in any of the menus or in-game to explain what’s what.
- The menus using just the d-pad are clunky a lot of the time.
- Had real trouble connecting to the online service.
- The music is nothing special.
- It’s a very bare-bones experience at the moment.
- The mouse cursor stays on the screen.
- Overall performance was up and down as it always felt like the first lap was choppy as it loaded in assets and then it smoothed out somewhat.
- No online racing showed up anywhere but I did have issues with connecting online.
- Doesn’t have any online leaderboards.
